PlayStation State of Play May 30, 2024

 

State of Play had its presentation on May 30, 2024, lasting around 35 minutes.

Concord

    Concord is a sci-fi player-versus-player hero shooter played from a first-person perspective. The game features a plentiful of alien characters, each with different abilities such as robot legs for high jumps and diamond-like skin for damage absorption. The Game will launch with 16 playable characters, have free post-launch updates that will add more characters, maps, vignettes, and more. The game is set to release on August 23,2024 for PS5 and Windows.

God of War Ragnarök gets a release date for PC; September 19, 2024.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins

    The franchise that popularized the musou genre returns with a new mainline entry. Currently in development, a team at Omega Force are set to bring the series back to its hack and slash roots with the attempt at redefining expectations. For the first time in Dynasty Warriors history, the game will introduce an original protagonist. Play as the "nameless hero" through the historical tale of war, showcasing the vast land of China and its timeless soldiers and generals like never before. Dynasty Warriors: Origins is set to release sometime in 2025.

Infinity Nikki

       Infinity Nikki is a fashion-themed open-world RPG developed by Papergames. Players will be able to customize the lead character's outfits, and then use a high-powered in-game camera to shoot cute photos of them. Players will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy sun-bleached landscape from your perch on a magical glider, ride your bike through the countryside, and use tools to catch materials for crafting clothes and items. The game features Zelda-like puzzles, and some combat against various monsters. While Infinity Nikki is set to launch on PS5, the game will also be available on PC, Xbox Series X, iOS, and Android. Game is set for testing around July 2024.

Ballad of Antara

    Ballad of Antara is a dark fantasy action-RPG with multiple playable characters. These characters, known as Emissaries, possess the power to traverse the worlds of normalcy and unimaginable. Each Emissary has their own unique class, gameplay mechanics, and their own story to tell. Ballad of Antara is set to release sometime in 2025.

Marvel Rivals

    Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play 6v6 hero shooter set in third-person perspective. Game is set to launch with 21 playable characters ranging from Spider-man, Hulk, Storm, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, to name a few. With the right combination of characters, players can use of "Dynamic Hero Synergy" to maximize a player's combat efficiency with their character. The game is set to have destructible environments allowing players to alter the battlefield to their advantage. There will be a closed beta on PS5 July of this year.

Where Winds Meet

    Where Winds Meet is an open-word action-adventure RPG set in ancient China's Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms era. The player takes on the role of a swordsman who will influence the conflict in different ways depending on their choices. Game is currently still in development and is set to release for both PC and PS5.
